Orange County Cryolipolysis

Cryoliposysis is a means of permanently reducing targeted stubborn fat on the body. Cryolipolysis is a completely non-invasive, non-surgical process. As part of this fat freezing in Orange County, body fat is cooled to its death, but surrounding tissue is unaffected. Skin and muscle contain much more water than fat and freeze at a lower temperature. Cryolipolysis does not reach that lower temperature.

Orange County patients can use Cryolipolysis for their own stubborn fat reduction through CoolSculpting ® at Plastic Surgery Body Contouring Center. There, Dr. Siamak Agha, a board certified plastic surgeon with extensive experience in CoolSculpting ® and other methods of fat reduction, uses Cryolipolysis for patients who may benefit from the technology.

Cryolipolysis research is over 45 years old. About 1970, Russian scientists noted that groups of youths who frequently ate frozen popsicles had more tendency toward cheek dimples than those who did not often eat popsicles. Over 30 years later, at the Wellman Center for Photomedicine of Harvard Medical School, dermatologists Dieter Manstein, MD, PhD and R. Rox Anderson, MD used this initial study in Russia to start researching cold temperature’s effect on body fat. If you’d like to learn more about our procedures, give us a call today at 949-309-5085. These two doctors used their research to understand and develop constructive application for Cryolipolysis. They indicated that fat cells can be killed without damaging surrounding tissue, if the right temperatures are used.

The Harvard doctors’ research and published studies proved that frozen body fat naturally dies and is processed by the body. Controlled freezing and cell death trigger the immune system’s release of enzymes. These enzymes process the dead fat cells for removal from the body. Much like when fat is consumed in food, the remaining lipids are then slowly expelled by the body as waste.

The key factor in effective and safe use of Cryolipolysis for fat reduction is temperature control for a targeted area on the body. From the doctors’ research the right temperature, conditions and means of application were determined and CoolSculpting ® technology was born.

Cryolipolysis Reduction of Stubborn Fat

Stubborn fat is fat unaffected by diet and exercise. Scientists now acknowledge such fat to be almost impossible to naturally reduce. So, as you head to the gym in Newport Beach, you may now be pleased to know that scientists do understand your plight in getting rid of those love handles. Those scientists have developed CoolSculpting ®, based on Cryolipolysis technology, to help you in your struggle.

CoolSculpting ®, the Zeltiq-patented device for Cryolipolysis, is used by Plastic Surgery Body Contouring Center to provide permanent fat reduction. Dr. Siamak Agha serves Orange County through use of this cutting-edge, non-invasive device.

CoolSculpting ® provides fat reduction on specific areas of the body. Those areas are ones known as most unaffected by diet and exercise. The abdomen, hips and thighs are the primary focal points for Cryolipolysis. CoolSculpting ® device applicator paddles are applied to the body and freeze the fat in those areas while the patient reads, watches television or cat-naps. Each session lasts about an hour. In the treated area, fat is frozen, crystallizes and dies. However, none of your skin or muscle are damaged. Fat dies at a warmer temperature than our skin and muscle.

Once CoolSculpting ® has been used, the patient can return to their normal life in Orange County without affect. Only fat cells are affected. That killed fat is attacked and extracted from the body naturally by the immune system. At between six and twelve weeks after the CoolSculpting ® session, Cryolipolysis has provided results and you will notice your body has less fat and more tone in the treated areas. These results are permanent.
